This entry is a little different to the rest as the bride in question is me!! On a soggy day in September this girls dreams came true as I married the most amazing guy I've every met.
As you can imagine (and rightly so) my flowers took on a life of there own. It was so hard choosing what flowers I would have. Its something I'd been thinking of since I was a Saturday girl in the florists I worked in when I was 15 years old. In the end though it had to be roses and lots of them!! including some David Austin Darcy raspberry pink ones. We had flowers everywhere and I mean everywhere. My self and my wonderful florist friend Frances worked day and night for a week on everything, we didn't stop until 3 hours before the ceremony and it was totally worth it as I couldn't have been happier with them.
Jess and Stew
At the Pheasant Hotel in Harome North Yorkshire my wonderful friends Jess and Stew got married. The wedding was beautiful and wouldn't look out of place gracing the pages of a posh wedding mag. The colours of dusty lilac and cream gave the whole wedding a very vintage look. Also i was lucky enough to be bridesmaid... yay!!.
Harriet and Phil
It was so lovely working with Harriet, as like myself she is a lover of wild flowers so her wedding theme became English country meadow. Her colourful bouquets looked stunning against the navy blue bridesmaids dresses. We also included lots of wild flowers Harriet had collected from the wildlife center were she worked. A truly unique English country wedding.
Andrea and Richard
Andrea's wedding is one of my favourites she gave me her colour scheme and left the rest up to me. I was spoilt for choice as i got to make the most lovely bouquets full of roses delphinium and eustoma to name but a few. Best thing was we hung hops of flowers from the marquee ceiling which rocked!!.
Leanne and Stephen
Leanne and Stephens wedding reception was held at the lovely Rise Hall in East Yorkshire. Leanne and i had so much fun planning all the flowers the colours and the classic but vintage style looked gorgeous.
Kate and Simon
I loved kates bouquet so much. Kates mum and her family come from Australia so kate wanted to honour this by including a flower originating from there and what could be better that a flower called kangaroo paw!! Her whole wedding was full of colour and coolness.
Samantha and David
On a bright day in October Sam and Dave said i do. The flowers they chose were a multi coloured mix of loveliness and worked really well with the fun theme for their day. I especially loved the mini sunflowers which always make a wedding look fun.
Alice and Paul
It was so lovely working with Alice on her beautiful Alice in wonder land themed wedding. The flowers and colours were just stunning especially against the red of the bridesmaids dresses. The table centres which were tea cups full of wild county looking flowers stacked on old books matched the theme perfectly. Alice looked beautiful and I loved every part of her big day.
Sarah and Ashley
This wedding was fun from start to finish Sarah had the funkiest ideas using very cool flowers like Bullet Alliums hanging Amaranths and loads of fern. Sarah's main design choice was for her brides bouquet to be just like her treasured Nanna Turner's one from her wedding in the 1940s. This wedding was wall to wall colour and coolness. I especially loved the Lego men buttonholes for Ashley and his groomsmen.
